Last Thursday, Hay School of the Air held their first Cluster Day of the year. Students and teachers from Booligal Public School, Clare Public School, Ivanhoe Central School and School of the Air (Hay and Broken Hill campuses) travelled to Mossgiel Hall to participate in a series of workshops run by the Flying Fruit Fly Circus. Children learned a range of dynamic and challenging circus skills in an environment that was fun and safe: juggling, hula hoops, human pyramids, skipping, gymnastics movements and magic tricks. Such activities allowed them to strengthen their hand-eye coordination, physical confidence and self-esteem, while learning how to work with their peers from other schools. The day was thoroughly enjoyed by students and teachers alike.
Welcome to Grace Pitt, New Kindergarten Student
The Hay School of the Air community would like to warmly welcome Grace Pitt to our Kindergarten class. Grace resides at Bonton Station, north of Ivanhoe, making her one of our most remote students. Miss Murphy and Miss Crawford are looking forward to teaching Grace over satellite and travelling out to experience learning in her environment.
